Roman Saini was born in Jaipur district of Rajasthan. Education was given a lot of importance in his family and he also joined the IAS job in 2013 on his own. He was on posting in Madhya Pradesh. But he thought more about the future of his country than that. After 2 years in 2015, he left this job and started forming Unacademy company with Gaurav Munjal.

Thus Gaurav, Roman, and Hemesh together made this platform available in 2016 on different platforms such as YouTube, mobile application and website. In the initial phase, Roman Saini also guided the people by putting many types of tutorials and educational videos.
